How did you learn about CrossFit? Stumped across a Guns and Hoses event at Downtown Anaheim, loved it and started looking into CrossFit box close to where I live.
How has CrossFit RXD changed your life? Crossfit RXD has given me purpose, it is the highlight of my day. It has empowered me as a woman and made me realize it is never too late to start a fitness journey and best of all is helping me reinvent a better version of myself.
Short term goals: Master the Crossfit lingo, eat clean, get off my “T-Diet”(Tacos, Tamales, Tortillas, Taquitos, Tortas), increase my grip strength to be able to do pull ups as well as increase my flexibility and mobility to improve my skills and abilities.
Long term goals: RXing the WODs, looking as sexy strong as Nyra and Christine, be able to do hand stand walks with Matt and Nick and to become an athlete.
Favorite movement: Power Clean
Least favorite movement: Box jumps and DU; homie can’t jump!
Favorite healthy meal: Nyra’s salad or a poke bowl
Favorite cheat meal: Anything with cheese accompanied by fine wine, of course!
Current book you’re reading: The Bible
Hobbies outside of CrossFit: Gardening, crafting, playing with my kids, crashing parties, and Zumba!
Life Achievements: Moving to the USA, learning a second language, raising my boys, losing weight, meeting amazing people. Life is a constant work in progress and any moments big or small are cherished and makes up who I am.
I am passionate about: Being kind, volunteering and paying it forward.
Most people don’t know these 3 things about me:
1. I was a beauty queen
2. Love to talk to strangers but tell my kids to do the contrary.
3. Camped out for U2 tickets and also to meet Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton.
Biggest accomplishment since joining RXD: Every single thing I have done at RXD is an accomplishment for me. My coaches believe in me more than I believe in myself and have taught me so much in such a short time, I am blessed, you all are amazing! Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the RXD family.
Describe RXD in your own words: RXD is as explosive as its name and more than your typical gym, in this box you will find commitment, motivation to stay on track and work hard, intensity, variety, a diverse community that treats you like family; all coaches care and know you by name and give you a warm welcome every time you walk in, you will definitely get out exactly what you put in, the workouts are meticulously designed to obtain gains and could be scaled to any fitness level. At RXD you will find lots of inspiration and genuine support from its members and staff.
