I know a lot of you have been training hard and are ready to test your fitness. The next NLI competition is on April 6th and registration is now open. This is a well organized event and there are multiple levels (three divisions, and two Masters divisions).
This event will sell out fast so if you are interested sign up ASAP.

Did you know that stress levels can greatly effect your body’s ability to shed pounds?
Stress levels; this pesky problem spells disaster for those of us trying to shift the fat. When we are stressed, our body releases the hormone Cortisol which is a fat storing hormone, usually causing fat to be stored around the tummy. If we think about it from the paleo mans point of view, he would have had very little to get stressed about compared to our modern lifestyles, however one problem which would have been a stress factor; a lack of food. Therefore his body would have gone into fat storing mode too, much like us. It might be difficult but we should all try to become less stressed, easier said than done, I realize!
