I had a few conversations today that reminded me to post this photo again. If you are new to CrossFit, don’t check your scale daily or weekly. Your scale could disappoint you. The reason is that you are going to be gaining muscle and losing fat. The best way to judge if CrossFit is working for you is how your cloths fit. You should be shedding inches and the waist on your pants should start feeling loose. As illustrated in this photo, a pound of body fat takes up considerably less mass than a pound of fat. Also muscle burns more calories than fat, even when at rest or when you are sleeping.
Most importantly, when it comes to losing weight, 70%-80% of the work is done in the kitchen. What you are eating has the biggest significance on whether you will lose weight or not.
